After the second surgery's horrible anesthesia experience and bad news concerned doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling knowing that at some point today he'll be going in for his third surgery. Breathing in and out, praying a ton and exhaustion seem to be the norm for me.
More details about the day and results of the third surgery via my text messages:
Date: Thu, Oct 6, 2016 at 5:37 PM We were just told it could be a couple more hours before they do Steve's operation. They won't even give me a time frame on how long they'll work on him because they want to get as much done as they can, since they will be taking out his leg catheter & closing him up. He'll spend one more night in ICU because of his need for no movement.
We're encouraged this afternoon as his foot has become warmer & they've now be able to get to clear pulses in his foot. He's been in a lot of pain today, but we're hopeful that it's due to blood flow starting to return.

Date: Thu, Oct 6, 2016 at 11:58 PM Well they're already done for tonight. They only took pictures...they noticed a HUGE improvement from last nights surgery. One of the veins had cleared down to his ankle, his thigh is 100% clear & the other 2 veins showed improvements too. So instead of "working" on him tonight they're going to allow the medicine to do its thing for the remaining time (remember it can only be used for 72hrs max). He'll have to remain in ICU, but this is great news. Prayers are being answered!
