Do you like to plant flowers, fruits and veggies or maybe all of them? It's fun to have a sense of accomplishment when you pick the fruits of your labor to enjoy. Many, if not most, of the gardening solutions on the market, like household cleaners, are filled with toxins and chemicals. You have to be mindful of what you use to ward off those pests, critters, animals and weeds if you have pets and/or little ones around. Well, in all honesty, it's not good for pet or kids so why do we want to be exposed to it either?
You'll be surprised at all the cool things you can do in the garden with essential oils! From warding off the creepy crawlies and weeds, to fertilizing and helping with pollination. Oh and let's not forget about the humans too! There's solutions for us too, from sore and achy bodies to soothing sun exposed skin and so much more. This post is going to read more like a kids picture book. I have less to say than to show, so with that let's dive into the different ways we can use essential oils in the garden.
Pro Tip #1: When you're spraying your magic snake oils on your plants, make sure you're whispering sweet nothings to them too. I'm TOTALLY kidding about the snake oil part! Hahaha! In all seriousness though, did you know that talking to your plants and garden can be very powerful? Give it a go - you have nothing to lose!Pro Tip #2: If you haven't switched over to chemical-free cleaners in your house you should know that many of the household cleaners contain acids. Those acids can change the pH of your houseplant's soil - preventing nutrients from being absorbed through the plants roots.
Now, if it's a nice day where you're at, stop staring at a screen and get yourself outside in that garden you love! And always remember, don't ever be so busy that you can't stop and smell the flowers!
