Incorporating essential oils into your cooking can enhance the flavors, provide health benefits, and they're convenient and safe. With October coming to a close tomorrow, that means we're headed into the holiday season, when many of us find ourselves baking for family and parties alike. Today I'm share four delicious cookie recipes infused with essential oils as we wind down #NationalCookieMonth.
Food historians indicate that a small amount of cake batter was baked to test the oven temperature and the name cookie derived from the Dutch word 'koekje,' meaning "small or little cake." While each country has it's own word for cookie, some you may be familiar with are: biscuits, wafers, and biscotti. Regardless of what you call your little cakes, one thing we can all agree is that there are so many varieties you're sure to find one to suite your health and taste bud needs.
The prep time, bake time and directions are going to apply to all four of the cookie recipes I'm sharing today: snickerdoodles, gingersnaps, chocolate peppermint, and peanut butter cardamom.
