4 Tips for Healthy Skin & Hair
Make sure you’re drinking enough
WATER. Experts recommend you drink about half your body weight (lbs) in ounces. (Example: weight = 120lbs, water = 60oz). If you struggle with water intake, try sprucing up your water with some essential oils. I’m partial to citrus oils like Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit and Tangerine, but since its release in September, I’ve been using the MetaPWR Metabolic Blend in my water.
EAT healthy fats and proteins. They contain omega-3 fatty acids which is helpful to keep the skin moisturized and minimizes thinning. It can also help reduce inflammation which is the culprit that causes redness and acne.
We can’t possibly eat enough food in a day to provide our bodies everything it needs from a vitamin, mineral and nutrient level, so SUPPLEMENTATION is a must! My favorite pill supplements that work wonders for healthy skin and hair are doTERRA Lifelong Vitality and Yarrow|Pom capsules.
The average person requires 7-8 hours of quality sleep to rest and recover appropriately. Getting your BEAUTY SLEEP also helps to support a healthy rate of cell turnover.

Although it may seem counterintuitive, oils [that I often refer to as "carrier oils"] can actually help dissolve the oils and dirt from your face as well as remove bacteria. Cleansing with oil can reduce acne, eliminate oily skin, and restore balance to your skin. *Make sure you choose 100% cold-pressed, unrefined oils.

Once you’ve chosen the oil you want to use with your cleansing regimen, try adding essential oils to the mix. There are lots of essential oils that are beneficial for skin issues, use the graphic below to help you identify which essential oils could be beneficial for your skin type/condition. Example for acne prone skin: mix 2-3 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in with a couple drops Jojoba oil. Gently lather into face and neck using small circular motions. After, take a warm, damp washcloth and wipe to remove the oil (dirt and bacteria) from your face and neck.
I’ve also got a facial oil recipe for you to mix up and have on hand to apply to your face post cleanse.
Life happens and sometimes our skin needs a little extra TLC. The recipes below are for such occasions.
Stretch Mark Combo – growth spurts, rapid weight fluctuation, pregnancy - there aren’t many of us that can go through life without a stretch mark. There’s nothing to be ashamed of, but you can lessen their appearance! Grab your Immortelle and roll over your undesired marks, then layer with Replenishing Body Butter. You can do it right out of the shower or make it part of your nightly ritual.
Coffee Body Scrub – oddly enough coffee when we drink it internally actually causes dehydration, but when used topically it can help hydrate and plump the skin.
Ginger & Lime Sugar Scrub – when you need a little help scrubbing away all the dead skin, but don’t want to compromise on the moisturizing benefits this sugar scrub is perfect. And it smells divine!
Skin damage can age your skin faster than it needs to. So, the last thing I’ll leave you with are a few skin protection tips.
When your outside wear sunscreen and it probably goes without saying, but skin the tanning bed.
Remember to moisturize your skin often to keep it soft and supple.
Take DDR Prime Cellular Complex daily. There’s an essential oil blend as well as a convenient softgel. This blends cellular support is off the charts and also helps to fight free radicals that unavoidably get into our system from our day-to-day activities.
