The modern holiday was founded by Anna Jarvis in the early 1900s to honor her own mother’s sacrifices and to promote appreciation for all mothers. Jarvis envisioned a day for personal reflection, gratitude, and meaningful connection—not commercial fanfare.
Ironically, as the holiday grew more commercialized, Jarvis spent the later part of her life trying to return it to its more heartfelt roots. In that spirit, let’s reclaim Mother’s Day as a sacred time for moms to slow down, nourish themselves, and feel deeply seen.

Create a Morning Ritual with Aromatic Grounding
